Carl, welcome to the forum.
There are many people here, not all are collectors, some shoot for competition, some shoot for fun, some both.
If you are a shooter rather than a collector there is also a wealth of information here on problem solving, maintenance, restoration and reloading.

I initially just wanted a toggle gun, for fun. I got a 1970's Mauser in 7.65 x 21 (.30 Luger) saw the cost of ammunition and set out to reload. This is about the only site that has that data.

But the collection of shooters has grown: a 1913 DMW P-08 in 9mm - because it does NOT have the Swiss grip safety, followed by an Erma KGP-69 in .22LR, again tech information and help from members here.

Whatever your reason for getting any of these the information sharing here is amazing.
