Of particular interest in the thread linked by Sheepherder is the presentation Luger that was presented to an American General named Evans. A person inherited that Luger, and photographs were first made public here on the Lugerforum. The person who inherited the Luger was interested in it's value to be sold. The gun was apparently unfired when he got it and came in the box shown.

If I am not mistaken, this particular gun ended up in the either the Collectors Firearms Collection, or the Simpson's Ltd collection. I don't recall the price it sold for, but I am sure it was in the many thousands of dollars.

It is not often that you get to see a Luger just as it came from the factory...
