Dwight, Ed & Ron: Thanks very much for your input with a special thanks to Ed for going to all the trouble of posting the pictures that I am too dumb to figure out how to post.
Ron, what does "BKIW" stand for and does the "104" on the unit marking mean that this was pistol #104 issued to that police unit?
Am I correct in thinking that this pistol started out as a 1920 Commercial and was then, at some point in time grabbed up by the German military, the barrel changed from 7.65 to 9mm and then issued to the police?
Finally, accepting that I'm an old man and won't be around much longer,
(I hope to get shot by a very young jealous husband who has good reason to shoot me) how would you suggest that my wife go about selling this rig and what would be a realistic price? (I paid $800 total for the Luger and the K-43, so anything over that is found money)
I am well aware that, in light of the tragedy at V.T., the ownership & sale of firearms could change at any time.
Thanks for everyone's help.
Don
