Talking my S/42 G date here, loves Remington UMC - $6.97 a box of 50 at Walmart, hates Winchester Target/Range loads Walmart near same price, probably same stuff Steve talks about posted below. At the range today 25 rounds of UMC perfect. Managed about 15 rounds of Winchester before I just gave up. You name it, it went wrong, jams, no feed, feed no bang, no hold open, maybe it's the light target loads. Another 25 rounds of Remington, perfect again. Ammo does make a difference, especially in my S/42.

I have also shot 135 gr. Federal hollow points through the S/42 with no problems.
