Holster for 6" Stoeger Navy

I'm looking for a holster that will fit my Stoeger Navy 6". The factory holster is fine for a 4" but doesn't cut it for a 6". I would like a flap style that will hold the extra mag and the tool. Anyone have a source for this? Thanks.

Brad, I'm not positive but I believe CMR (see the Classifieds and Links and Resourses to the Left Margin) may be able to supply you with a nice one. Good Luck

Re: Holster for 6" Stoeger Navy

There have been post on the Forum in the past and what I recall is that CMR is superior to Sarco. I would suggest you try a search and get it from the originator of the post. I truely can't remember who had the information.

Ted, Jump in here and help us out !!!

I seem to recall that there was a leather problem with the Sarco. Ted has purchased CMR Holsters and I know he was impressed. I have a CMR Police that is really nice. I just looked at the CMR Catalog and they didn't list the Navy. Perhaps an email to Charles Roscoe at CMR is in order. You still with us Brad? Your Nickel!!!

Re:Navy repro holsters

Brad, I have the Stoeger marked holsters that will accommodate either a 4 or 6" PO8 listed in the classified. I also have a couple of the the Chinese made Navy board type holsters (no one makes one with belt loops, but these can be added) available in either brown or black leather. New @$100.

The CMR holster is one of the nicest holsters available. I have really enjoyed the one Ted gave me and it goes very nice with my 1939 Banner Police. One good thing about the CMR holsters is that Mr. Rosco does not add the fake stamps to the back to make it look more original and someone try to pass it along as an original.

Thanks for all the responses! CTXT

I have seen the SARCO advertised in SGN and I'm reluctant to go that route because of possible shoddy workmanship. I have emailed CMR to see what they have and a price. I saw their ad in the classifieds and I like the rig shown. Does anyone I need to know how much? Anyone bought from CMR? Another possibility is from El Paso Saddlery, they have the military type flap holster for the Luger but it's a 6-8 week wait and no spare mag.

Brad,

I recently purchased a repro rig for the Artillery from "Sprtsmans Guide". I THINK it may be from the same manufacturer as the ons from Sarco. I paid $69 for mine and the it was made in India and the workmanship was very good. I was totally surprised as to how it looked and it did not smell like a dead Water Buffalo. The only thing I did to the rig was to put some boiled linseed oil on the cleaning rod wood. After rubbing the oil into the wood, it looked much better. All in all, the quality is good for the price.

I believe Milt Keller...

jmkthird@aol.com ordered one from CMR and was extremely happy. A picture of his holster is below.

It cost $39.95, and another $15 in shipping from the UK to San Diego.
