Looks like a pretty nice one.I don't believe that it has been shot all that much, however the seller seems to think it was used for target shooting.

(Does anybody see anything suspect with this pistol? I see a couple of things that may be, but you never know with these Banners)

This pistol shows signs of being force-matched. The numbering is suspect, to say the least.

I see what you mean Gerben. The 5's appear to be of a different style,and struck with varying force.

Sorry Gerben, but I think that the quality of the photographs shown in the auction are not sufficient to make a clear judgement on whether or not this pistol has been "forced matched" in my opinion...I believe that we would have to see much higher quality photos of all stamps on this gun to come to that conclusion.

The numbers on the front of the frame may not be struck to the same depth, but from what I see in this fuzzy photo, the stamp used for both "5"digits was the same...

The finish on this gun looks very nice, but since the auction states that it has come out of a collection in Switzerland, it is very possible that the gun has been refinished... they like them clean and shiney over there...

The striking of numbers on the frame don't worry me. The numbers on the toggle are suspicious, as is the placement of the numbers on the takedown lever (and it's shape).

The DWM and Mauser digits differ in shape from the digits used on this pistol's toggle.

All in all, this pistol shows signs of different sets of dies, not consistant with what I'd expect from a Mauser.

Things that caught my eye are the numbers on the trigger bar, they appear to be the same size as the ones on the sideplate when they should be the size of the ones on the takedown lever. Also there are no 'last two' on the extractor. Additionally there should be three acceptance stamps on the right reciever in most cases.
