SIG MCX Pistol w/SBX Brace

2 Attachment(s)
I was in Cabelas Saturday and couldn't resist. The ATF can't decide on these now that they have approved them. They initially said it was ok to shoulder them but they have since rescinded that determination. Now if you shoulder it you have redesigned(their words) and changed the manufacturers intent, it would be a SBR and fall under the NFA.

This came as a kit in 300 BLK and 5.56mm with an additional conversion in 7.62x39mm available at a later date. It is a new design with a new gas system, totally modular and ambidextrous controls. I can't wait to try it out. I will probably add a suppressor and will register it as a SBR with a different stock arrangement.

Is this the new 5.56 pistol that the BATF was referring to,when it proposed banning the 5.56 green tip ammo?
Doesn't look very concealable to me.
If this is the gun,I was wondering what it looked like.
Will never be sold in California!:banghead:

I don't think it was this particular model the atf was taking about, it was AR pistols in general.

My reading on the ATF ruling, is that the brace is fine - BUT you can not put it against your shoulder. IF you do then it is illegal SBR, unless you register it and pay them the $200. It would certainly be a nice CC if carried under a jacket on a single point sling. But much more than needed unless taking on a street gang.
