.45 Luger? OKAY guys what is this?
 

Read all the info on the posts with this, what in the world is this? And the guy says DWM made .45 Lugers form time to time? LOL WHAAAAAA???? http://www.handgunforum.net/general-...-45-luger.html

AND in the 80's I read 5 .45 Lugers were made. I read this and remember it like it was yesterday. NOW all you hear is there were only 2 every made, NOW WHAt is this thing? It is not the one welded together and the guy wanted 4 grand for it? Please someone, what is this>>

Martz & Krause Lugers have been discussed here regularly.

What is interesting is that there have been others, some well made, some not so much, shown here as well.

It seems to be a highly regarded conversion.

Coincidentally, tom21's album pic came up in Random Album Pictures - he has a 45 Luger pictured...An 'artillery' 45...

Mauser even produced a few .45 ACP prototypes in the 1970s as well.

The Austrian firm Nedball did a series, and in co-operation with Herbert Werle as well.

Well the guy said it wasn't a Martz those are welded together, and it is NOT a Krautz, it is 4 grand not 15,000. NOt laughing literally, but what exactly is it> I know of the Mauser 45's, I have your book, no one actually said what it is. It is not a Krautz, not a Martz, nor is it a Mauser? Could it be a Mauser Blued, for it says DWM on it. No one said what it is? I guess it is a Mauser with that box? Guys I did not think this was a long lost DWM 1902 serial number 4. If you can buy a Mauser .45 Luger for 4 grand I am getting one.

There must be dozens of gun smiths who made one or more of these as a pet project. I think that is just it: someone's project.
