Just an observation. Don't know what it is but it appears large enough for a Broomhandle Carbine. The leatherwork config appears to be similar to commercial leather carriers made in the 20's - 30's. Great thread. Thanks!

Thanks........I have until Thursday to make up my mind on it.

Mike,
It's a "Leg O' Mutton" shotgun case. I've got one just like it with a Hans Kettner SxS 20ga shotgun in it. These were mostly pre war Europeon. Made for high quality shotguns. The object in the second photo is a muzzle cover / protector for a SxS shotgun. It has a specific name, but I can't recall off the top of my head what it is. The toes look to be standard American late issue. Ron |

I took a look on the internet and "your right"!!!
Appreciate it. They were askin $35, but unless it was military, Don't know if I will take it. |
Like Ron says..."leg 'o mutton" for holding an English or American side-by-side.

Thanks Guys
You may have saved me $35.................thats 2 boxes of 9mm's
