change from rust to salt bluing
 

I'd need some help on trying to figure out when Mauser switched from rust bluing to salt bluing. From working the search engine on the Forum, I underststand it was sometime during the "T" block, but that's as far as I've gotten.


I'm looking for a Mauser shooter that was originally rust blued and strawed so I can ask Thor to take it back to original condition. I've got my eye on a Russian rework, # 64xx t, but I don't know if that gun was rust of salt blued. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Don; they stopped at about 1500t. Hope this helps.
