Welcome Craig. Interesting first posting, as a carbine is high on many folks "want lists".

if all original, a good chunck of money, if reblued, half that... (I'd give a value, but don't know these puppies)...

It is considered a "1902" model and not a common sight...

Craig,

A nice additon to anyone's collection, thanks very much for the look. By serial number it is in the range of a series of 1902 Carbines assembled most likely in 1905. Could you tell us if the stock is matching?

Yes stock has 522 stamped on the top. Is it comon to have the safety area a straw (unfinished) color under the lever? (Pic 3)

Craig,

Thanks for the info.

Yes, the area under the lower position of the safety lever was "polished bright" to indicate that the gun is on safe. The area is actually very shallowly milled, if you find a sharp edge with no polishing outside of it, or bluing inside, and 100 years discoloration of the white surface, it is a primary indicator that the gun has likely not been reblued.

Value? Not too sure how much money it's worth but I'll give you my left testicle for it. :)

Very nice carbine you have there my friend... I can call you "friend", right? :D

Low side of value in the USA...I would guess $ 15.5K or higher.

Craig:
Nice Piece! I believe your rear sight leaf is modified or replacement.

OK.... here it goes..... I mentioned that my buddy is interested in selling this carbine....... well........

He would like to get $16.5K USD for it.

Things you need to know:

1. It is in Canada. If a US or a person from another country wants to purchase it we can arrange export from Canada but the buyer would be responsible for export fees and and duty and taxes and shipping fees incured (all at cost).
2. If you don't like the price..... make an offer.... all he can do is say no :D
3. If you want more details or other pictures please feel free to ask.
4. You can PM me or email - channelsurfer911@hotmail.com

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum. (Mod's please feel free to move if I did this wrong).
Thanks to all fo your assistance.
Craig
