mmc sight
I have seen picture of MR Skeltons shooting luger.
How is the mmc sight fixed in the gun ? Is the sight as narrow as the togle ? I do have mmc sight (for colt 1911?) sight is vider than togle, so how to fit it in ? |
Re: mmc sight
It is my understanding that Mr. Skelton was friends with the owner of MMC and was able to obtain prototype and custom rear sights from MMC. There was one sight made for his PP Walther that was quite narrow. I think the one on the luger was prob. similar to the one he had on his walther.

Esko, I remember Skeeter's shooting luger
It won't get much easier than that! If I still had the magazine, I would have posted the info into an article for this website. regards, -John http://boards.rennlist.com/upload/Skeeter.jpg |
Re: Esko, I remember Skeeter's shooting luger
Hi
THe reason why we have chosed to use Bomar sights, is that we tried some others sights before and that was great disaster. The movement that the sight have to make is very violent and the sights will easy get very loose. We have not had any problems with the bomar sights yet, and those are only sivler soldered on to the toggle. I have orderd a number of new manufactured toggles from barsto that he makes on my order and those will have the bomar "foot" in one piece with the toggle from the beginning. Those toggles are also redesigned and strengtend considerably in order to not crack as the originals quite often do. But I don't know when i get them Regards HÃ?Â¥kan http://www.vapensmedjan.com |
Re: mmc sight
Rick, that was my "Armadillo Gun" that has the S&W sight on it. I have one of the mini MMC sights on a Browning HP and and one on a Colt 1911, they are good low profile "combat sights". I also have a Walther PPK 22 that has a S&W revolver sight that is mounted into a milled slot on the top of the slide; it makes a very neat package.

another version
![]() This sigth is a Bowen revolver sight made for the Ruger revolvers, they are pretty small and we use them sometimes when a smaller adjustable sight is required.
We have once used them on a luger as well and the result was complete disaster, so therefor we stay with bomars there. But on a small PPL or a PP they can be pretty ok. Please also note the little welded beavertail. Regards HÃ?Â¥kan http://boards.rennlist.com/upload/Wa...beavertale.jpg |
I will post pics next week when I get home. (EOM)
