The folks I talked with at Nil, in German I might add, were not really friendly at all.

To hear that they are having problems dealing with American companies is not a real surprise to me.

This looks like a perfect opportunity for one of our enterprising Deutschland members to start a Nill-Grip supply service for his American Cousins...

and make a few Euro's in the process!

Vlim 12-20-2004 01:22 PM

John,

I'll make some enquiries and see what I can come up with...

Vlim 12-20-2004 01:24 PM

Picked up freshly from the www.nill-grips.com website.
(the prices will remain a problem as the Dollar/Euro conversion rate is not very good at the moment...):

Dear customers and friends,

for some time now, we have experienced problems with our US partners in marketing and delivering our products to our highly valued American customer base.

We have, therefore, decided to handle all inquiries and orders from our American friends directly from our home base. Our website shows all of our products and lists all related information, enabling you to order all grips via our Online-Shop System that is currently being established. Since grips do require a U.S. import licence, we are forming a central importation site from which all grips will be distributed to customers. We expect all systems to be in place by January 2005, and wish to assure you that all your inquiries and orders will be handled expeditiously so that our quality grips can be enjoyed by you without any undue delay.

Dealers wishing to establish their own import licences and to receive deliveries directly will be assisted in the application process and will receive a special bonus on their first order.

Nill Grips is committed to serving the high-quality segment of our industry. We are proud of our innovative, customer and quality-oriented approach to doing business and look forward to being of service to you.

Sincerely yours,

Wilfried Nill

Thank you Gerben... and Merry Christmas!

Vlim 12-22-2004 12:45 PM

Hi John,

First of all a merry christmas to you and all of the other forum guys/girls.
(especially to John D. who has been working really hard to get us a fresh forum to bum around in ) :)

The Nill article numbers are MA051 for smooth walnut, oiled, and MA057 for checkered grips.

They are not unwilling towards a partnership, but they want to sell in quantities....

Ponyman 03-01-2005 04:39 PM

Current productfinder at the Nill-Grips website shows no products found for
pistol/ Mauser/ Luger 08 (until year '45)

Is that the end of the line?

raceratb 03-01-2005 07:14 PM

Just to throw it out there, i am building a desktop CNC machine, and the first project i planning on doing, is making luger grips on it. i will keep you posted, and let everyone know when a prototype set are done. One bonus is that i will be able to make them in whatever you want.

Ponyman 03-02-2005 09:28 AM

Austin, I think that's significant enough to warrant starting a new thread!!!

raceratb 03-02-2005 10:51 AM

I will start a new thread when the machine is done.
