Thanks, Dwight, that's interesting about the chamber top profile, and means my gun could possibly have not been dated, as Doubs mentioned, and may be an early undated example. I think I'm going to assume it is an early undated one and the chamber top has not been ground, and the '1920' was stamped as Doubs stated for use by the Weimar government. Did they not still use rust-bluing when refinishing Lugers in the '20s?

Lokks like original rust blue to me, judging by the raw steel interior surfaces.
