What I was trying to explain is that the wood had a flaw and would split more on firing a few rounds. Over time how much would it split? Who knows. You don't repair that type of problem. It is a replacement - with the same and matching wood. So I am waiting. and it is getting to be rediculous. A month ago he said it was almost done.

Hi CAP, sounds like he has to replace both the shoulder and the forearm stock so they match. Sorry your having a bad time with this guy. I was trying to contact him for a forearm stock. He is the only one I can find for this work. I guess if your the only act in town,you can do as you please.:confused:

I think folks would need to see your issue in the wood - but I know that they used to add brass nails or rods to fix splitting stocks.
And Hugh and I bet GT can fix most things. But sounds like you got bad wood. As a note, have not heard from Eugene in a while - Ed |
