You can buy adhesive-backed weather strip tape that is about 3/16" thick, cut it to size, and affix it to your grip safety. I think that will add enough extra thickness that the grip safety will work as it should.
Removal is straight forward; just peel it off. Use Goo Gone to remove adhesive residue. It should not damage your finish. -Bob |
