In interior Alaska, we don't really have any natural disasters to worry about. (Other than the occasional million acre wildfire). But, that being said, I would use my foodsaver and vacuum pack my handguns, after a light spray down with a good rust preventative, and then put them in the large 20mm ammo cans. They seal well against moisture by themselves, as they have a good rubber gasket around the lid. Ziplocs can leak. Foodsavers are pretty air and watertight. Just like packaging mooseburger for the freezer.
