Caliphornia is down on diesel because it produces heavy exhaust particles that fall to the ground and are caught up in the watershed. Guess what powers a 900,000 pound 727 into the air? Jet fuel..just high grade diesel. They burn not gallons but thousands of pounds of the stuff. Guess what won't/will NEVER fly on electricity? a 900,000 pound 727. I would love to be a fly on the wall the day we run out of fossil fuel..it will be back to sailing ships.
