Although Russian captures initially when through a rebuilding program where whatever part that made the pistol function was swapped out or replaced, the Russians became aware prior to selling their stocks that Americans placed a premium on all matching pistols, so in many cases sideplates and other parts were milled down then force matched to give an "all matching" appearance, at least on the major assemblies.

Look at it this way: That peened out extactor is "correct" on a Russian capture gun!

Have fun owning it and shooting it!
