Jan Still's book "Weimar Lugers" has a good production timeline for Alphabet Commercials, that is, .30 Commercial Lugers with a 4-digit/letter suffix serial number on the frame. There is no good published source to tell you this in the 5-digit commercial series, but if you post the gun's serial number someone may be able to help you out. --Dwight
