When Simson & Co. was â??nationalizedâ? by the Nazis, it was renamed Berlin-Suhler-Waffen. After Gustloff was assassinated in 1936, the name was changed to Gustloff-Werke in 1939 to honor him. Gustloff-Werke made a relatively rare auto pistol. There is a great writeup on Bob Adamâ??s website in the â??Collectors Gallery (Rare & Unusual Guns)â? sectionâ?¦well worth reading.
