It was mint perfect and I guarantee it was original, never replaced and never sanded down. It was in a ratty condition Arty two mag pouch along with a wood bottomed WWI vintage mag in pretty nice condition. Got the whole group for $40...one of my better deals. __________________ If it's made after 1918...it's a reproduction
