Costanzo's World of Lugers Book reports " 1934-1945 Dual Lightning bolst symbolic of the SS Schutz Staffel protection squad. Used by the elite guard of the N.S.D.A.P. Found on DWM and Mauser left frame panel, above chamber dates and on right receiver. This squad was originally formed to provide protection for Hitler. Watch for fakes!" Hope this helps
