Hi Tom!

I honestly donâ??t know what Iâ??m talking about just yet ;-)

These were the few Lugers made at the Haenel Werk, sometime between 1952 and 1957. Production was contemporary with the â??1001-0â? and fill in the cartridge Walther PP production. Iâ??m attempting to find markings, serial number range, and so on. Does this sound like the Lugers you referenced?

These seem to be like (in terms of rarity) the first post war P.38â??s - those made with steel frames - before the Federal German Army insisted on an alloy frame.
