David and Rick are right! The 9mm was purposes shorten so that the overall lengths would be the same to work in the mechanism, mag, etc. Lots of times a shorter cartridge will cause jamming. Good luck! And if you do this make sure you get the right expander plug, some of the 30 Lugers (RCBS and LEE) came with a setup for a .310" bullet and the available Hornady bullets are .308" and bullet setback was a problem, Lee came to my rescue and got me the right expander plug, and now I am in business. RCBS just ignored me! Ted
