looks like a decent quality shooter, id agree that the side plate is not correct, but if you don't care about matching #s a new side plate can be obtained. Based of the 1920 stamp it seems it was kept in arsenal by the Germans usually for police work etc. the bore I am sure can be cleaned up via honing or even some general cleaning and shooting. I have a 1911 dated shooter that has a much worse bore but still shoots pretty well. looks like an aftermarket magazine but hard to tell from the picture. I agree on the 1000$ price point if you are really wanting it.
