I bought it from a friend who's grand dad served in WWII and Korea. He was a colonel and had brought back several German pistols and a paratroopers gravity knife. I don't know much about Lugers so I offered him $1k (the "good" price in The Gun Traders Guide) and he thought that was fair. That may have been too much but I liked it. I'm not a expert but it appears to be very nice. It has about 90% of the blue and very few small scratches. The pistols had been stored in bags made from the legs of old flannel PJ's. To me it looks like a used pistol from the 80's but it's 94 years old. Do you think I did OK.
