The DWM military pistols were first dated in 1910 and the Erfurt pistols were first dated in 1911. The date is actually stamped on top of the receiver. If your pistol stays open after the last shot, or when the toggle assembly is pulled back with an empty magazine in the pistol it has been back through an arsenal to have the hold-open added. If not, it has not been modified and is still in original configuration.
