Hi,

The luger has a very tight action that needs little or no lubrication. I usually just wipe the small parts with a very, very light amount of oil (rag, brush).
The only parts that can do with some lubrication are the receiver / frame rails. I also put a small drop in between the toggle joints, the extractor and the sear, wiping off excess oil with a rag.

I try to keep the firing pin and the side plate as dry as possible, no serious amounts of oil on those parts.

The original manuals suggested coating the frame rails with vaseline, but again, here a light coat of gun oil will do the trick.

The oil actually mostly serves as rust proofing, not serious lubrication.
