Don,
The Luger was a 1937 S/42 Russian import with "matching" parts which I got from Ralph Shattuck as a "shooter." The action seems smooth, and the parts seem to fit well. I placed the word, matching, in parenthesis, because I suspect that the Russians might have renumbered some of them. On the first Triple-K mag I used 8 rounds. It was difficult to insert into the Luger with the toggle closed, so I used 7 rounds on the remainder of the tests. If that would make a difference, I will use 8 rounds next time, as I plan a more comprehensive test the next time I am at the range. |
