This is from the Gunboards Forum, and concerns surplus Argentine 7.65 x 53 ammunition, but could be any surplus that is old and ill-stored...

Note - The bullet was pulled and the powder emptied before the case was hacksawed - the green is the actual corrosion, not powder...

This is similar to the Turkish 8mm that came in by the boatload about 10 years ago.
