Post 1916 Naval Holster and Luger

Here is the next item from Sundays auction.
1916 Naval, all matching including the Mag with holster.
The holster maker is JON HUBER MUNCHEN with a crown over an "I" as below

The holster has belt loops and is not a board stock type. Unfortunatly the stripping tool and cleaning rod are missing .
Could anyone help with sourcing those two items to make this into a complete rig?

Kind regards
Murray

Hi Murray,

Very nice rig. The holster is property marked to the First Bavarian Corps (Crown over I) which is interesting as I was unaware that there were any Imperial Navy units so attached.

Wish I could help with the accessories you need or could bid in the auction but I am now Luger poor, having bought the two engraved pair on Auction arms and a 1904 Marine Pistolen in the past few days.

Pls advise what the final hammer price for this piece turns out to be...

Thanks

Hello Tom,
Thanks for your comments.
Yes, I was a little surprised with the Crown stamp to but according to Jan. C. Still, page xxxii of Imperial Lugers, there is a photo of the exact same rig, same holster maker JOH HUBER/SATTLEREI/MUNCHEN with a 1916 dated gun, except my gun which is also 1916 dated has the correct non concentric ring mag with the correct numbers.According to Jan,apparently late in WW1 almost all Navy Lugers were issued with belt loop hosters to accommodate the large contingent of Navy ground forces fighting in Belgium.
I paid a total of NZ$4400.00 (including 12.5% tax) which is US$2050.00 and NZ$6600.00 (US$3000) for the 1906 first issue altered, in the Danish holster shown in my next posting.
TRust this is of some interest,
Kind regards
Murray.

Hi Again Murray,

If you got that rig for $2050 USD, you are guilty of theft! The holster alone would bring almost that much in the USA.

Pls, when/where are you auctioning these?

Tom
Who just bought an '04 and has no money anyway!

Hello Tom,
Truly my friend, the equivalent of about US$2000 is what I paid. That is top dollar here. Our collectors have not yet reached the 21 century as far as gun prices yet. A beautiful pair of 17th century cased dueling pistols with all the accessories in mint condition sold for NZ$30,000 which is around $13,500. They would have fetched $30,000 pounds in London England.
In the car boot sales out side the auction I picked up a excellent 1914 P08 holster, a very good 1916 P08 holster, a 1916 P08 Long holster with board stock and straps all imperial marked, another board stock on its own and a very nice second model 32 round snail drum mag., all from one car boot for a total of $2500.00 which is US$1125.00.
I am really sorry if I have upset you, but as I said earlier, collectors here have no idea.
But the way, today in the sun light I found the Crown stamp over the M on the 1916 Naval holster and the three crowns stamps in the Danish WW2 Naval holster so I am quite pleased.
Kind regards.
Murray

PS, I am going to the SAR show in Phoenix in early December this year and I would like to meet up with some of you guys again if possible, are you going to that show?
MWW.

Hello again,

Sorry, I will not be making that show. I think my next show will be the combined SOS and Gun Day in Louisville in Feb.
