Ye Gods! What a nightmare! I guess they had to plate it if it was buffed like that when they got it. Looks almost like a 'melt' job on the upper.

Guilty as charged Gentlemen!!....my only defense is that it was not I who did the dirty deed...but, just owning it could be presumed to be "guilt by association"....how about....it was part of a collection I picked up!!!....and I really do not drive a Big Cadillac with whitewall tyres and a fake fur lined interior(not anymore anyway).....

GAWD!!! They put this down as "SUPER CONDITION"!! Everything matches except the side plate and mag. No mention the the chipped left hand grip and that so much metal was removed from the right side of the receiver that another gun could have been made from the shavings.

Hey guys....I took that "son of a gun Luger" to the range today,along with a 1917 Artillery ,a ac 41 p38 and an early Browning Hi Power with Tangent rear sights.....that "Artistic" Erfurt shot really well and cycled properly and was probaly more accurate than myself.. (I drank two cups of Java just before shooting....not good!!)...the other Artillery also worked well as did the p38 and the Browning...I then had the bright idea of trying out a box of German made Ammo marked Geco?? ... written on the box was 'Fur Pistolen und Maschinenpistolen....This stuff was incredibly powerful!!!....I put one clip through the p38...and one through the Browning...That was enough!!! I am lucky the guns are still intact!!....I don't believe this stuff is too good to shoot in Pistols...????!!!!Very Hot ammo!!??

Some of the WW2 German 9mm ammo used uncoated steel projectiles (armour piercing) that will wear out your barrel in nothing flat. Not to mention its effect on the trap at most indoor ranges. Tom
