Default 1914 Dated LP08 on Auction Arms

A seldom seen chamber date (1914) artillery is being sold on Auction Arms. There are 6 bids on the Luger and it is over $3500.00 with a day left in the auction.

I'm selling the pistol because I am not happy with it. I bought it under the impression that all was correct and the stock was original and matching. The stock is a later match-up, the magazine may be the same and the front sight does not match. I no longer buy anything from the seller.

George,
I couldn't see a serial number on the right side of the slider(tang) sight. The auction is closed and it doesn't look like you got your price. Too bad. The stock does look kinda new vintage.

For other forum people, the serial number on the gun is within Jan Stills printed range and the gun IS a hard find. Richard Crosier had a pretty beat up one for sale a while back for $5,000 and he wouldn't give an inch on the price (usual for him). Doug Smith had a decent one with unit marks for sale at $10,000. No stock or matching mag. So the price on these Lugers does tend to be high. I don't know if these guns that I mentioned are still available.
