another mag question
i've got a p08 mag that my dad left me in his collection of firearms and various pieces. it has markings on the base and sides.
base: 7115, lower case n, and a + symbol side: 122 at the bottom, and a whermacht eagle with 37 at the top and bottom any clues as what this is? i'm assuming 7115 is the production run number, and the 37 is 1937 year of manufacture. don't know what 122 is |

Welcome to the forum; no, for german magazines it is different;
122 is the code name for Schmeisser Eagle 37 is the individual inspector (or office more likely) that okayed the mag (accepted it as fit for duty) 7115 is the weapons number (serial number) of the luger

Sexpistol, Your 122 code mag is the second mag, incidated by the "+", for a (19)41 code 42 PO8 serial number 7115n. The "n" suffix is part of the serial #. TH

thanks for the info guys. my only other question, is this worth anything to anybody? i don't see myself ever owning a p08, i'm sure someone else can use this. is it worth more than the new one i'd get at cheaper than dirt? should i just give it to the guy at the army surplus store that has a p08?

I too would be interested in this magazine, if it is in good condition, as it is the correct configuration for a (19) 41 Code 42 that I own and the magazine I have now is just OK. If you and GT aren't able to work out an arrangement, let me know.
Thx, Lyn |
