Luger grips/Moon Landing

I guess if we could land a man on the moon in 1969, by now I would hope you could put an original Luger grip in a machine and it would copy it. The Germans are doing a pretty nice copy from Nill but I would like to see a little more wood options (there may not be any more Walnut) like I would like (perhaps BEECH) Perhaps it is a question of money, they Nills are the best except some checkered examples and wood variation, and they are not THAT expensive. Perhaps one day......Hogue still doest have the demand to make them! I would think in the day of CMC (or something like that) Computer Machine Control, this could happen. WHO....is making them for the KRAUSEWERKE Lugers?

It's CNC & CAD - Computer Numerical Control and Computer Aided Design just in case you needed to know. Use it everyday at work.

M. Krause is certainly capable of making grips as good as the originals.[and undetectable].. As are a few others.

I don't have a clue if he or someone else is making them for his ,45

Thor,

There are a number of possibilities of scanning and recording the shape of "Things".

However there is only one way to translate this data to a cutter path and that is by hand wrighting the program to the machine tool via CAD-CAM or APT, the latter of which is about as old as the Dino's. I know I wuz dare !

And dere aint nuf call fur it to pay de bil.

So if we had one of our retired members skilled in this type of work who was willing to donate his time one of our other members could go into a Luger Grip Manufacturing business. Then we all could have access to some outstanding grips.

There just happens to be another Luger-related project on the front burner at the moment... when that is done, we will look seriously at the possibility of CNC grip production...

Let me know I might want to invest if you guys are going to sell shares. Hope it works out could not belive all the talent that I have seen so far and that is just from a few individuals. GOOD LUCK.
