Default Reload Warning...

Hey John S. or John D.,

We used to have a nice little CYA warning to members that using the reload info. from this Forum is at the member's own risk.

Looks like that fell-out with the Upgrade...

Pete...

I would hope everyone knows to check in their load manuals for the proper starting and Max loads. But I guess it never hurts to remind people. Never trust a load posted on line. Or for that matter from an old manual! We have much better data today than even a few years ago. So pick up a few new books, they are a lot cheeper than a new gun!!!

Cool Shooting warning

And remember when you buy a Luger and want to fire it, get it checked out before you do. Firing a Luger with a weak main spring MIGHT crack the rear toggle and firing a Luger with excessive head space MIGHT cause the case to rupture sending gas back into the breech block and breaking off the small tab of metal in the block that keeps the firing pin retainer in place, lost a breech block and the result might now be an injured shooter and the lost of a matching breechblock. Buy a vented firing pin also to help prevent the damage to the breechblock on Lugers you intend to shoot.
It is much easier to be safe before you fire it, than be hurt ,physically and financially afterwards.
