Hi Craig,
* Welcome to the Forum.
* This Police pistol is in the "q" (as in quick) block. Likely assembled in 1927 & converted to 9mm for the police as evidenced by the "ghost" eagle and script "G" on the barrel. A sear safety and mag safety were likely added during the police conversion. The mag safety is usually removed...possibly in 1934 when the police holster was added.
* You are correct...Arnsberg City Police, 1st Precinct, Gun #837. This rig does appear in Dwight's Commercial Data Base and was reported to Don Maus (RIP) for inclusion in his "History Writ in Steel" Book.
* The holster was made by Schambach & Co. in Berlin in 1934 in the Police style. The Police acceptance is the "Sunburst L". The "3039" gun s/n, added to the holster, is a real plus.
* How are the mag or mags marked? Was a take-down tool included w/ the holster?
* Thanks for sharing this with us.
Bob
