A Gripping story
A Gripping story about my search for grips.
After a year of looking and asking questions then posting a WTB replacements for my chunky grips I settled on trying ALTAMONT's offering on a 1937 S42. Last edited by TJ1; 04-06-2021 at 09:19 PM. |

I like the checkering on the new grips, but the fit at the bottom of the sideplate is lacking.

Many manufacturers are like that. I have to wonder why?

Any new grips will be a bit oversized so that they can be made to fit a variety of frames. TH

It may have been to save production costs. Original Left grip scales are pointy in front at the top. Many repro grips seem to have this area rounded, and symmetrical with the ones on the right. Cutting blanks from a single pattern, sans point?
