The biggest concern I have is the tool pouch is sewn on crooked.

It looks like a modern reproduction to me.
Look at the "8" in P.08... Never seen that style before...

Doug, the impressions are too perfect and uniform! No belt wear!

I looked this over pretty well and it doesn't appear to be a fake. Made a little weird in some respects. Like Erick says the 8 in P-08 is certainly different. The belt loops look short too? The markings otherwise look good? The wear, patina and thread look authentic. Buckle looks good. The construction I could find no fault with. Almost has to be good...$500? Leather is going higher and higher..

Let's hope the holster fakers don't get that good at it!

Erik, Yes..There is a very tiny market for repro holsters compared to handbags and high heels! I would guess.

Also here where I live the vast majority of "vintage" holsters are bogus, sometimes well made too! It's upsetting.

If that holster is fake then we collectors are in big trouble. It looks original and 70 years old to me. The problem with all the fakes around nowdays is that it has put us all on guard to the point where any deviation from the norm is immediately deemed fake, phony and fraud. But we know that there were 100's of holster makers and certainly there is some room for deviation in a hand made item. I would think if it is truly a repro holster, then we will see more of this variation on the market. Just too much profit to make only one...............

We don't know what it sold for,-- $500 was the "asking" price,
the seller accepted a "best offer", could have been $100 or $10!
