Default Ammunition prices at Simpson's

I was perusing Simpson's site tonight and came across many offerings of 9mm ammo. All SOLD and at $1.00 a round! Plus shipping I can only assume.

https://simpsonltd.com/winchester-ammo-m8422/

Our local gun store has had this same 9MM by the pallet for half that price recently...Restricted to two boxes per visit.

Prices are generally that way everywhere. Common calibers, 9mm, 223/5.46 are about a buck a round. If you can be there when they put it on the shelf, the big chains, Sportsmans Warehouse, Cabelas, etc, still have it for normal prices. The real kicker is primers, holy cow, small pistol and small rifle are the insanity leaders, selling for 300.00 a carton of 1,000, or more. Large pistol and rifle are at 250.00 a carton. I wish there was a good, cheap way for me to ship them out of Alaska, because I've got many cartons of primers that I'd be willing to sell, in excess of my needs.

If people are paying $300/1K of small pistol or small rifle primers, I have got a "gold mine" and didn't know it!!

Check what folks are bidding primers up to on Gunbroker. It's insane. If you are in the lower 48, you can ship them pretty cheap via UPS ground. An option we don't have in Alaska, or I'd be pretty well off.

I guess it's like getting into Gamestop late it the game. It doesn't pencil out. .30 for a primer, .50 for a bullet, .10-.20 for powder and say .20 for an empty cartridge. Then there is the labor involved in re loading. Then the equity expenditure for equipment. A reloader has to have a LOT of stuff to do the work! MOST of it is unavailable right now anyway..Too late to get in the game if you're not already in it from years ago. Might as well go ahead and pay the buck a round for factory made ammo.
