Fun Shooter, No Reserve...
Should be a blast to shoot. Looks like Eugene's refinishing work is markedly improving as well :

My hobby is shooting the long barreld Lugers. In a regular 8" Artillery one can shoot 300 yards with great accuracy. Due to the limitations of the 9MM pistol round the effective range would be a bit better with a 16" barrel but I suspect not that much better. German tests determined that the 9mm would go to 800 meters and still penetrate a helmet. Actually expecting to HIT a helmet at that range is another thing. The hold over would be tremendous. I at first thought it was a repro navy rear toggle, because they have the flat sides like that. But given the pitting that is still visible after refinish, I think it may be an original toggle that was heavily pitted and the knobs were faced back and re-checkered like the repros. I wish there was a clear side-on shot of the sight that would help identify it a little better, but I get the impression that it is an original sight.

Nice shooter. It went for just over $2200.
Considering the work required, probably not a bad price.
