Default Stray Luger

I am not an expert, dealer or authority on ANYTHING. A friend of mine has a byf chamber dated 1940 Po8. The toggle and bolt are a mismatch, The mag is an aluminum or alloy marked with the flat vulture with a small 63 below it. The serial number is 763 on the balance of the parts. No suffix number, Condition appears to be conservative at 70-80 % with no pitting Bore is very servicable Price is 995.00 Too much????? Please give vent to all your opinions I am very thick skinned Thanks to all RETREAD

I believe the reference to vultures might have been humor. I frequently refer to them as "chickens" or "boids" (Brooklynese for birds).

Without photos, The best appraisal you can get is what Ed Tinker gave you. I concur with his estimate.
