1923 Commercial--Not! (?)
web page
The seller purports this item to be a 1923 Commercial. My guess is that it is not, based upon the serial# alone (military numbering style). The photograph shows that it has an unrelieved sear bar. Anybody have any thoughts on what this might be really? Note, I am not bidding on this Luger, I am not interested in it in any way other than the description and photo piqued my curiosity (oh, and Hugh, don't look at the grips ) --Dwight |

Probably an Alphabet DWM or 1920 Commercial based on barrel length, caliber, Crown Proof and serial number, I bet the sear is from an older Luger.
