Since noone else has offered to help you, I will spend a little time misleading you until another comes along who can give the answer.

Close your browser.

Go to 'Start' on your task bar and 'Settings' then 'Control Panel' then 'Internet Options' then 'Delete Cookies'.

Open your browser and go to http://www.Lugerforum.com

Open the forum from the Message Board and log in.

If that doesn't work, I'm sure help will show up any minute now and rescue you.

Hello wes,
I tried your suggestion to no avail. I can come directly to this forum but I am still not able to log in through the luger forum page. I sure do thank you for your help and I will keep trying to enter the forum through the main page. I guess it is really not a problem since I am able to have access to the forum, I read where the question was asked as to which URL was being used to enter the forum so I thought I would try the main page route, but just can't seem to get it to work.
Do you think it has anything to do with me being from copperhead country here in TN?

Most probably that is the problem. The Internet is not "Tennessee" friendly. It is fortunate for you that I speak fluent Hick.

Please explain exactly what you get whenever you click on the 'Message Board' link on the LugerForum frames page.

wes,
When I click on the Message Board I get the log in page. I enter my user ID and Password and I do get the Forum page. But, when I click on an item on the forum page, the sign in page pops up again for me to sign in. It says I'm still not logged in!

If, in the upper left corner of the page, it says that you are an unidentified user, then you must have a cookie problem. Go back to the internet options in the Control Panel and change your security settings to accept 3rd party cookies.

If, in the upper left corner of the page it says Hello, Toggletop, then go directly to the Luger Discussion Forums link on the upper left of the page.

wes,
Your not only a Luger collector, but you are a one man genius. Allowing the third party cookies solved the problem. It works as it should now. I certainly appreciate you taking your valuable time to help me get the problem straightened out. I will remember you when Christmas comes. Thank you very much.

Best regards,

Hi - please try now.. My guess is that you are using I.E. 6.0 - and I just changed the Domain Cookies which should solve this problem for many....

John D. & John Sabato ~ I just tryed to log in from the lugerforum.com and nadda, zip, zilch, null, well you get the idea. I have access to the luger forum "stuff" but can't get to the new site, unless I go through rennlist. I don't really mind, but . . .

Hi Frank..!!!

Thanks for the feedback - as I'm about to "fix" this once and for all, as soon as I can be sure that the DNS server has "propagated".. Sooooo... If you - or anyone else - can do me a Favor and let me know what happens....

When you are connected to the Internet - Go to your "START" Menu;

Next open "RUN..." and type in "cmd.exe" - and a black DOS command screen will open...

In that window - type:
PING FORUMS.LUGERFORUM.COM

Let me know if you get a lot of numbers - or a reply that says "No Response"... As soon as most everyone gets "a screen full of numbers" - I'll get it squared away back here once and for all

Thanks!

John,

My ping was to forums.lugerforum.com [64.205.178.78] with 32 bytes of data.
I received back 4 replies of 32 bytes.
Round trip was minimum = 577ms, maximum = 673ms, average = 640ms

(Also, John, I pinged through C:\Command.com on my drive.)

Thanks Wes..

That's the info I was looking for... I still dunno why it took so long to propogate the ZONE records in the root servers from my FQDH, as I incremented the serial numbers last night from this Domain when I declared the SLD as "FORUMS" to that master. I also have it seconded from my other FQDH..? I am doubling IP addresses, which should be OK as well.. Very strange... If you DIG this zone - can you see the SLD and does it resolve from your end????

For the rest of you who have no idea what I wrote - not to worry To Wes - my thanks..!!
