Default WTK: C 93 Borchardt

I've always admired this strange looking pistol but have never seen one for sale in 10+ years of serious gun collecting. Since so few were made, I imagine that they're terribly expensive. Do you know what they go for nowadays, in decent shape? Also, did anyone ever made a reproduction C 93? Thanks for the input.

I think Simpson Ltd. also has them for sale from time to time. Not sure of address, www.simpsonltd.com (?)

As you have probably gathered by now, they are expensive.

In reading about them it appears they make better carbines than pistols because of balance issues.

Will,

Yes, they sure are expensive and I will probably never be able to afford one. I do know that Ralph Shattuck has them as I looked at one several months ago. Simpsons Ltd has them on a catch as catch can basis. The going price for a nice collectible pistol is between $20,000 and $25,000. Sometimes you can find someone who needs to sell one and you can get them for a little less, but they are rare on the open market.
