Default Ammo Availability

Just returned from our weekly shopping trip to Walmart and it looks like the shortage of pistol and rifle ammunition may be coming to an end. They had about two dozen boxes of Federal 9mm Luger, 115gr and another dozen or so boxes of 124gr. with a 3 box limit sale price was $14.97. They also had several other calibers that have been missing for quit some time. Still out of the Winchester White Box though.

I have been half way watching and when I drop by wally world, if they have 9mm, 22 LR or 45 ACP, I pick some up. Its usually about every 3rd trip. When I first started looking months ago, they were practically empty, now at about 2 PM yesterday, I was able to pick up some 9mm Federal and 1 box of 100 rounds of 22 LR.

Like you said, its getting better, although I have figured out that if there is a zombie attack, I have a lot more 9mm than 45 acp. As, all my 9mm;s are lugers and one P38 - so need to look for a ruger or the like?

Hi Ed, I should have mentioned that although they did have several boxes of .45ACP, .40 and I believe .38 cal they were still out of the .22LR, I guess that would probably be the first to go once they start showing up on the shelves though.

Sportsman's Guide still has nada, at least in 9mm, 7.65mm. At least they have the 7.62x39 now. But that's probably only because the GOV isn't buying up commie calibers like they are with the 9mm & 357.
