In the sale section there is Luger Manual In English for sale.

One of the points mentioned in this thread is that a copy Luger Manual have the "Contents" page printed on the back of the first page that shows the title and the skeletonized view of the Luger.

The manual in the sale section photo 4 shows that this manual is printed in this way, so does it this make it a copy?
Alf.

I don't know Alf. The descriptions I posted are for the manuals I own and others I have observed. There may be some variations of which I am unaware.

Ron and George,
Please give me your opinions as to the originality of the manual I have for sale. The staples are 2 1/4" apart at the closest deminsion.

Mike,
As near as I can tell from the photos it appears to be an original. It is just of a configuration with the contents page on the back of the frontspiece that I have not seen before except in reproductions. That may well indicate that the repros were copied from a manual like yours.

Very interesting and informative thread.

I picked this one up at the Antique Arms show in Las Vegas in January. The seller's pitch was that the manual is rare and out of print but he forgot to mention that it was a reproduction. Probably just slipped his mind or he did not think it was important to mention it. So... now I'm a bit curious as to what a fair price range for this would be. The paper is glossy and the manual contains fold out tables I, II, and III. The "Contents" page is on the back of the first page. The printing on the cover is more uniformly black than the photo depicts and the dark marks on the right side of both photos are shadows of a piece of wood I was using to keep the pages flat for the pics.

Thank you for any information you would care to share.

Regards,
Doug
