Post Luft Holster...?

Was reading the thread about black dye removal and Luft markings was mentioned. Thought it better to start a new thread. Since Luft holsters did not go through the Heer procurement they (apparently) were uniquely stamped. I have a nice chocolate brn holster and curious if it might be Luft or an officer's rig.

Bob,
Look for a Luftwaffe Acceptance mark. It will *very closely* resemble #58 on the techinical info section of the forum.
Bottom line, if it is brown and is WaA accepted, the probability is 98% that it is Army.

Bob, The only holsters I consider to be Luftwaffe issue are marked with the Luftwaffe stamp on the inside lining. A small mark, sometimes overlooked because of it's location on the inside back of the holster. These are relatively rare. Jerry Burney
