Excellent post full of valuable information. Is it possible (I'm asking something here that may be outside the "scope" of things) to post the info as a pdf file on the server?

oh, by the way, was in Lincoln a couple of weeks ago, but buisness precluded me from doing any fun things! Like looking you or others up...

Chuck,

With any posting on the LF, you can click & drag your mouse to highlight text and photos...then you can copy the highlighted stuff (i.e. right click your mouse and select "copy"...) into MS Word and have it there to save and print out...

I would like to talk to someone like yourself in person about Lugers in general as I am a "newbie" in the hunt. A picture is worth a thousand words so to speak!

I would add two production lines.

Mauser bought the Swiss line intending to use it for the re-intro Luger of the seventies. Much of the equipment was in poor condition, and most of it was discarded. The majority of the equipment and tooling on this line was new and I would count it as a seperate fourth production line. There are a number of detail differences in the re-intros so that here is no problem in determining they came from this line even without considering the markings.

Aimco here in the US has been producing stainless Lugers and their production facility must be counted as a fifth line.

two years ago! got some feedback that it needed to be reworked, so then I just "laid" it aside.... then thought, if I post it, folks will tell me those areeas that are wrong, give me suggestions on adding and improving it, etc....

This has info from books and from many members... There are lots of things that can be added, comments about holsters from Jerry, comments about Mausers from Frank Manders, etc.

I need an articulate and accurate telling of this for the Faq:

- Maybe this can lead to the distinction between a "Proof Mark", a "WaA and/or a worker's Acceptance Mark", and a grip strap/Unit mark.

yes, already added some suggestions from Bob on sear safeties and mag safeties.

So, if folks think a subject should be added to, tell me and I'll be glad to ask for intelligent answers and add it to the FAQ.
